1 Connecticut Compromise
истПредложение, внесенное делегацией Коннектикута на Конституционном конвенте [ Constitutional Convention] 11 июня 1787. Касалось вопроса представительства штатов в Конгрессе США [ Congress, U.S.] и сочетало в себе элементы Вирджинского плана [ Virginia Plan] и плана Нью-Джерси [ New Jersey Plan]. Принятие предложения привело к современной системе представительства - равному в Сенате [ Senate, U.S.] и пропорциональному в Палате представителей [ House of Representatives]. истПроект, внесенный делегатом от Нью-Джерси У. Патерсоном [ Paterson, William] на Конституционном конвенте [ Constitutional Convention] 1787 в противовес Вирджинскому плану [ Virginia Plan]. Предусматривал расширение полномочий центрального правительства только в сфере финансов и торговли и равное представительство с равным числом голосов от всех штатов Союза, независимо от их размера, в однопалатном законодательном собрании. (1721-1793) Шерман, РоджерГосударственный деятель, делегат Континентальных конгрессов [ Continental Congresses] от Коннектикута. Его подпись наряду с другими стоит под текстом Декларации независимости [ Declaration of Independence], в написании которой он активно участвовал. Работал также над проектом Статей Конфедерации [ Articles of Confederation], на Конституционном конвенте 1787 [ Constitutional Convention] наряду с О. Эллсуортом [ Ellsworth, Oliver] сыграл решающую роль в принятии т.н. Коннектикутского компромисса [ Connecticut Compromise]. истПроект создания сильной центральной власти, внесенный на обсуждение Конституционного конвента [ Constitutional Convention] 1787 делегатом от Вирджинии Э. Рэндолфом [ Randolph, Edmund Jennings]. План предусматривал отмену Статей Конфедерации [ Articles of Confederation]. Хотя в целом он был отклонен из-за оппозиции со стороны представителей менее населенных штатов, многие его положения были со временем включены в Конституцию США [ Constitution, U.S.] (двухпалатное законодательное собрание, федеральная судебная власть, принцип пропорционального представительства [ proportional representation] и др.).
